Carrefour Calais

Visitors to France often head to Carrefour Calais in Coquelles, which is within the Cite Europe complex. Carrefour is located on the upper floor and can cater for most English day tripper's needs.

Carrefour Calais opening hours

Carrefour is open from 09:00 to 21:00, Monday to Saturday.

Getting to Carrefour

via Dover/Calais ferry

The ferry terminal brings you out on Rocade E (E15). After 5 minutes or so, take the A16, signposted Boulogne, then exit 41 or 43 and follow signs to Cite Europe. Ample parking is available within the complex.

Via Eurotunnel Le Shuttle

Cite Europe is virtually next door to the Eurostar Terminal. When leaving the train there are ample directions to the Centre. You will find the Carrefour hypermarket on level 2 of the complex.

Ferry Foot Passengers

Any Carrefour visitors who are travelling to France as foot passengers can take a bus to the rail station. From there, you can catch a number 7 bus to the Cite Europe complex.

Petrol at Cite Europe

There is a petrol station situated close to Carrefour Cite Europe. Prices at this petrol station are generally more favourable than in the UK. We always try to arrive at Cite Europe with a quarter of a tank of fuel, before filling up for the journey back to England. The petrol station is usually open between 09:00 and 20:30 Monday to Friday, and from 08:30 to 20:30 on Saturdays.

Tobacco

Please note that there is no tabac (for cigarettes) situated within Carrefour, or Cite Europe as a whole.

Cash machines

There are numerous cash machines dotted around the Cite Europe complex, although we recommend Pounds into Euros before you leave the United Kingdom. Travellers cheques may also be accepted, but we recommend Euro notes are used for the majority of purchases within Carrefour.
